The location was beautiful and secluded. The property nice and cool in yet another heatwave, being an old flint building. The rooms were spacious and comfortable, and the wi-fi very good through all the rooms.
We had some excellent walks from the property and enjoyed a meal in the Salt Marsh Cafe, and the Cuckmere Inn.
We hadn't realised on booking the car logistic issues and had discussed these in advance with Emma, the property manager as we had several evenings out already booked, and some elderly folk in the team. The team were responsive and supportive in mitigating the impact of the travel constraints during the day.
We were a group rather than a family so having more than one key would have been helpful and saved us resorting to a secret hiding place for last team out.
The 20 minute walk to the car for our opera days was a bit grim in the hot weather, improved by the festival trolley supplied to pull goods in. We'd have moaned more if it had been raining though!
