From the moment I arrived, I felt so welcome. My room was amazing, bed was comfy, had a lot of space, had my own bathroom. But the best part was the owner of the place, such a sweet, lovely person! The breakfast she prepared was delicious too!!! The garden was so beautifull and peacefull, and the teafields that were close by were beautifull and when I went there, not touristy at all! I would rebook this stay anyday! It was perfect! (The pictures are from the small village and the teafields that is a short local bus ride away)

Wunderschöne traditionelle Häuser auf dem Land, viel Umschwung, ruhige Lage, schöne Abendstimmung, Nähe zur Teeplantage. Kostenloses kleines Frühstück und Transfer mit dem Privatauto zur Teeplantage.
Durch die ländliche Lage hat uns dieser Aufenthalt nochmals eine neue Blickweise auf Korea gegeben.
Die ausgeschriebenen Buszeiten stimmen teilweise nicht mit dem Online-Fahrplan überein, es hat aber ausreihend Busverbindungen. Es hat keinen Lebensmittelladen, dafür ein koreanisches Restaurant (keine vegetarische Option).

Owner Ejay and her mum met us when we arrived. They provided breakfast which was a type of fried rice with veggies ball with seaweed base and some boiled eggs and local tea. We stayed in a hanok with 2 bedrooms and an "ondol" room, called the "Gold Room" and this has floor heating you can turn on. We didn't use this as we visited in summer but I can imagine it would be needed in winter. The main room included a kitchen with large ceramic electric cooktop, sink, utensils, pots, bowls, microwave, rice cooker and fridge. The dining table was a low one with floor chairs. Everyroom has a wall split system for heating/cooling which is good for comfort. Close to the tea plantation which is a good morning or afternoon activity.
The bathrooms were clean: it's a more of a "shower over the toilet situation" which I think can't be avoided given it's an old house. I noticed the interior walls are covered with a white vinyl sheet and I can't help but wonder if it would be nicer if the walls were left "au naturel" so we can see the lovely wood (I'm guessing) underneath.
