A disgusting experience

The location and the apartment in general are nice (for a single person or a couple). But the circumstances of my stay, and how things were (not) dealt with, make me write my first negative feedback ever...

First off, after your payment through Booking.com, they ask for an additional 300€ deposit and a 20€ a day parking fee (check the small print on the bottom)! However, the biggest problem was the toilet leaking water into the bathroom and hallway! Several times, I've had to clean that up, with towels I had to buy (as well as hand soap, sponges and cloths...nothing there). Whilst having to ask colleagues to use their toilet (on the first day of my stay), I've had to chase the host through Booking.com and on WhatsApp, to even get a reply, more importantly to get a fix, or to swap apartments. None of the latter happened, even though they had other apartments. The plumber would come days after I had left. Their solution was putting a bunch of towels around the toilet, that soaked up quickly, and for three more days, I've had to sit in that unhygienic mess. Last but not least, the heating was all over the place and it was freezing at night. Guess what happens when you try to get your money back? And no, Booking.com isn't helping with that. The photo is from when the towels were fresh, not the three days after. Worst 'holiday' apartment experience I've had so far.

Location ( as close as we could get at late minute )

The way they responded by WhatsApp asking for a 300,00€ deposit and a prepayment of 20,00€. For parking even before we got to the property. Shower hose was broken , paint peeling from The ceiling ,very old furniture, decoration and utensils.

Un jeu de piste qui n'est pas.drole

L'appartement est pas mal. Dommage qu'il faille être un adepte des jeux de piste pour le trouver

Impossible à trouver. Le jour de la réservation je reçois un message WhatsApp d'un numéro inconnu qui demande 300€ de caution à payer sur un site inconnu. Il demande aussi 20€ de parking pour une nuit. Je paye et j'attends les instructions d'arrivée. Je reçois 3 vidéo sensées me guider. Je me rends à l'adresse indiquée par Booking. Une barre d'immeubles, tous se ressemblent. Une dame est comme nous, elle cherche.... On part au hasard avec les valises. On demande à un restaurateur qui ne sait pas. Je lui montre que sur une des vidéo on aperçoit, au loin, un bâtiment avec le logo Monaco Marine au loin. Ça y est, le restaurateur situe la vidéo, de l'autre côté, bien loin (pas du tout) à l'adresse indiquée sur Booking. On verra, le lendemain, qu'on était au pied du bon escalier. On fait tout le tour et on arrive devant deux énormes escaliers. Les vidéos ne permettent pas d'identifier lequel est le bon. Pourtant ils sont numérotés, mais cela gâcherait le plaisir du jeu d'indiquer le numéro. On en prend un, au hasard. Long et haut avec les bagages. En haut, impossible de se caler sur les vidéos. Heureusement les entrées sont numérotées On cherche le 305. On trouve le 302. Mais pas de 303. Enfin, d'un autre côté, on trouve, le 303, 304, puis 306. On cherche le 305, introuvable. Ce serait trop simple. On appelle le loueur qui finit par nous guider vocalement vers l'appartement. Une heure. Le loueur dit qu'il avait envoyé toutes les instructions par WhatsApp. Je n'ai eu que le message demandant 300€ de caution et demandant les 20€ de parking. C'est en relisant ce message que je vois une image du logo du loueur en dessous. C'est un lien vers les informations. Il fallait le deviner. Je suis certain d'avoir gagné la "course au trésor" car la dame qui cherchait comme nous est partie dans la mauvaise direction Nous n'avons pas payé le parking et avons laissé la voiture là où elle était.
