We loved this property. It was in the right location with good views from the top floor. The beds were extremely comfortable with gorgeous bedding and the bathroom was excellent.
The kitchen had Everything you could wish for and we loved the large table. We spent hours doing one of the jigsaw’s that were provided along with other games.
The only downside ( I knew this when I booked so this is not a complaint ) is that with 7 adults in the property another shower/ bathroom would have been amazing.

We’ve never stayed in a better equipped house. Lovely decor- felt like a proper home.

We booked Wellington House for a group of five adults from three families attending a wedding nearby.
✅ What was great
The home itself is beautiful — finished to a really high standard and much bigger than I expected. We never felt on top of each other or short of space at all; everyone had plenty of room and privacy. The cleanliness was outstanding — honestly the cleanest place I have ever stayed. The hosts were also excellent at communicating — all info sent in good time and contact numbers provided if needed. Little touches like tea and basic essentials were ready for us on arrival — really appreciated after the long journey.
⚠️ Things to be aware of
Parking — The listing says private parking, but it’s not at the house. It’s around a 20-minute walk away. If you’re staying with luggage, food, or anyone with limited mobility, I’d strongly advise unloading everything at the house first, then moving the car. Do the same in reverse when leaving — it’s too far to carry everything.
Bathroom leak — The bathroom is stunning, but there is a leak. Both the bath and shower caused water to pool on the floor during use — even with normal use, nothing excessive. We just mopped it up and didn’t use it again, but I’d recommend someone checks the seals or pipework to see where it’s coming from.
Noise — This is the biggest thing to note. The house is right on the path, very close to a pub. There is no soundproofing — you can hear people walking past and talking as clearly as if they were standing in the same room. Both nights (Friday and Saturday) we heard people outside until around 2:30–3:30 am. It’s not just occasional noise — voices carry right through, which made it hard to sleep at times.
