Hard to get used to the 'contactless check in'. No humans around. The apartment was adequate, but there were a few things that should be addressed. I needed to iron a dress, and, yes there was an iron, and an ironing board that would sit on a table. Except that there was nowhere in the apartment where I could plug in the iron and use a table for the ironing board! I would have to rearrange the apartment. Also, the outlets in the bedroom were only accessible by crawling under the bedside tables. Would be better to place an outlet or extension where it could be more readily reached. The water smelled and tasted like sulphur and, yes there was an explanatory sign, but later on in the week we stayed somewhere else very nearby where the water was much better! On a positive note: THE BED WAS AMAZINGLY COMFORTABLE!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Good value, clean warm room in the heart of Reykjavík. Check in was painless and we managed to get an early check in.
It is not fancy but it does meet your needs. The big positive for this property is location, very near all the main areas for restaurants and bars but tucked out the way to be quiet.
I would come back here if we come to Reykjavík again.

The Castle House Luxury Apartments are I such a great location. Everything is within walking distance with the bus stops to most of the tours within 5 minutes walk.
The apartments themselves are very clean, well equipped and warm! There is underfloor heating in the bathroom and being Iceland, instant hot water!!
The beds are very comfortable, with lovely warm quilts and pillows.
Check in is easy, with a key code sent to you just before you arrive and although there isn’t a reception desk you get a number to call if there are any issues and they do answer immediately and are very helpful. Would definitely come back for another stay!!

Wish they had some signage so we would have known we were standing across the street when we asked a stranger if they knew where the place was. The shower was tiny and water flooded the floor no matter what we did to keep it from happening. Great location.
