We spent five wonderful days on Kalvsund Island, and our hosts, Olof and Cecilia, made the stay truly exceptional. They live right next door and were incredibly attentive — for example, they provided a trolley so we could easily bring our luggage from the harbor to the house on this car‑free island.
A small issue with the drain was fixed quickly and efficiently. There were many thoughtful touches, such as a welcome cake and hotel‑style bathroom amenities. The house is new and modern; the only thing missing from the otherwise complete setup is a dishwasher.
The accommodation is perfect for two people; for four it would feel a bit tight. The sleeping loft is reached by a ladder and has a cozy, low‑ceiling atmosphere. Alternatively, the sofa bed downstairs is very comfortable and can be set up in seconds by one person.
Communication with the hosts was warm, friendly, and very fast — every question was answered right away.
And best of all: the wonderfully relaxing view of the sea.

Die Unterkunft bietet einen sehr schönen Blick aufs Meer. Das Häuschen hat grundsätzlich alles, was man braucht. Die Lage auf der autofreien Insel ist super!
Die Reinigung muss man selbst übernehmen, was man erst bei der Anreise erfährt.
Da auf der Insel kein Nahversorger bzw. Supermarkt vorhanden ist, muss man entweder Vorausplanen oder eben auf anderen Inseln Essen gehen.

Vi hadde en helt nydelig ferie i denne hytten på Kalvsund. Beliggenheten er perfekt, og utsikten er noe for seg selv – vi kunne ikke bedt om mer. Det er også veldig enkelt og flott å dra på øyhopping mellom de ulike øyene i skjærgården, noe som ga oss mange fine opplevelser.
En ekstra stor takk til Olof og Cecilie, som var utrolig gjestfrie og hyggelige verter. De gjorde at vi følte oss veldig velkomne fra første stund. Vi anbefaler dette stedet på det varmeste og kommer gjerne tilbake

Uteplatsen där du får uppleva soluppgången. Det väldigt fräscht och bra disponerade kvm. Att sova på loftet är mysigt. Underbar utsikt på morgonen.
