Hard to recommend, especially for families with small kids. Discretional garbage rules
The home is really close to the beach and many amenities, including the famous "gelateria tiziano", some good restaurants and playgrounds, a small supermarket and more. On Thursdays you also get to experience the local market really close, where you can find great seasonal foods, freshly-caught fish and typical food from Abruzzo.
The rules for garbage disposal are crazy for a family on vacation, considering there are no communal recycle bins and you have to remember every day to put the right garbage bin outside the building by the previous evening. If you forget even just once to do that, or you have a higher-than-average garbage production (e.g. you have small kids or you are buying and preparing food every day). The decision on whether you produce too much garbage is of course up to the staff. In our case. 1 extra bag of plastic costed us 50 euros on grounds of "wrong garbage disposal under clause 66b". It would have probably made more sense to just put everything in the same bin, at least we would have saved ourselves the stress of sorting while on vacation with 1 7-month pregnant wife and 2 small kids :) by the way, when I kindly asked if there as an "isola ecologica" which is where you bring the extra trash if for example you had a party or you pruned your garden, they said there wasn't, which is inaccurate at best, a purposeful lie to collect the 50 euros at worst. The staff was too present, sending passive-aggressive pictures of the bins and even calling because we were making too much noise (our 1-year old woke up at 6 and rocked the camping bed, and may have cried a couple of times....). After the initial friendly interaction, everything else was policing and passive-aggressiveness - definitely not what you expect from people dealing with guests and trying to give them a good time. About the house: if you end up with the smaller apartment, it is very old. Balcony was really dirty and all the doors were screeching when shut, which made putting the kids to sleep quite hard. There is 1 air con for the whole house, which means if you put the kids to sleep at 20.00, you either leave their doors open, and you fry in the living room closing the door, or you leave everything open and you have to be quiet until you want to go to sleep.
