Great location for accessing the city centre and Koelnmesse. Plenty of great Turkish food options ~1min walking distance, also next to the Hansaring train stop for easy traveling. The apartment was on the top floor of the building, with two decent sized bedrooms with comfortable beds, a living space, bathroom and a kitchen. It was great for us on our 6 day work trip, allowing us to make our breakfast and lunches for the day. Overall the apartment was clean and comfortable, the host is very kind and added some nice touches for us upon arrival (sweets, deodorant, etc.).
Cost was high, though we traveled for Gamescom, so this may not always be the case. During Gamescom prices always seem to be very high, so really it was unavoidable for us as all hotels, or private renters increase their prices for the event. One thing to note is the apartment is right next to the trains, as I mentioned before, meaning the trains can disrupt sleep. I would suggest earplugs, they helped me a lot and if it is not too hot I would suggest keeping the windows closed to limit noise for the trains. Otherwise everything else was great.
