Very clean and quiet room, with a small fridge and nice bathroom, with shared tea and coffee-making facilities outside. It's in a good location right on the edge of town of Zarnesti, and a 3 minute drive to the main car park where you can start some great walks in the Piatra Craiului National Park. There was a separate dining room which was nice, although some crockery and cutlery would have been useful. The hosts were really helpful and friendly, even though they didn't speak English (apart from the young son), and we didn't speak Romanian.
Just some crockery and cutlery in the dining room would have been useful, as we had not bought any with us.

I use Booking.com a lot, but this guesthouse deserves a special review. I absolutely loved everything about my stay.
The rooms are fantastic, comfortable, and beautifully renovated. The beds are very comfortable, and the rooms have TVs and small refrigerators. There is also a balcony with a wonderful view of the mountains.
In the common areas, there is a coffee machine, which I really appreciated and used before heading out into the mountains.
If you are planning to go hiking, the location is perfect — the guesthouse is right next to the trailhead.
There is also a great restaurant just 300 metres from the guesthouse, which is very convenient.
Finally, I have to mention the owners. Răzvan and his parents are absolutely wonderful, friendly people. They were extremely helpful and made my whole stay even more enjoyable.
If you are looking for a place to stay in Zărnești, don't look any further — this is the best place you can choose!

The location is good; slightly ex-centered and with stunning views of the national park nearby. The village center is around 25 minutes by foot. Excellent rural stay.
It was hard to sleep with the door/window open given the proximity to the street.
