(a) the flat was no where near the place indicated on the expedia map!! in fact 30 minutes away by boat - more than that on foot.
(b) it was at the top of a 51 step marble staircase
That aside, it was clean and spacious as shown in their photographs, convenient for the waterbuses, shops and a supermarket 5 minutes walk away, with no bridges to climb with cases.
Hint - the easiest way round Venice is by waterbus and the cheapest way is to get a 1 / 2 / 3 / 7 day pass as it costs 7.50 Euros per journey otherwise
