On arrival at 11:30 am we were told check in was at 3pm as our room was not ready, we were told we could leave our luggage in reception until checkin opened. We took a short stroll into Bardolino for lunch returning at 14:30 and the staff checked us in at that time, the room was more than adequate but very dusty, it was clear that our room had not been used for sometime, a slight annoyance given we were told we couldn't check in earlier. When we entered the room the power had been turned off at the electric box and the staff were unsure how to switch it on, but we got it sorted eventually. We had to ask for towels as none were in the room, the receptionist looked quite cross at our continuous visits asking for electric and towels and not very friendly.

Beatrix is a perfect location for walking down to the lake and the cafes and restaurants of Bardolino. Indeed it was a perfect location for all areas of the Lake Garda region and for day trips to Verona and Venice.
The accommodation itself was fairly basic, but I understand that is standard for the cost we wanted to pay. That said, the apartment was very spacious and clean. It would have been nice had it been slightly better equipped ( e.g. A kettle) and if you weren't expected to pay extra for air con.
Vanessa is an excellent host- helpful, friendly and most welcoming. She made our stay very easy and was always able to offer suggestions and tips on things to do.
Overall we would recommend Beatrix, especially for the locations and helpful staff

Great location and nice little pool. We were in an apartment across the road so was quiet and wifi good
