Nanuya Island Resort

Staff are so friendly, Moses made a beautiful basket for me , he also guided a snorkel ing trip, which has been the most amazing experience ever for me. The resorts also gave my son a surprise birthday party and cake. The staff and some of their talented children sang very beautifully and danced amazingly.

We loved our 4 night stay here. It’s very casual, laid back and relaxing. Don’t come here if you want a Sheraton or Intercontinental experience, a late night party place or designer decor. There’s a bunch of things that could be updated (like the faucets and sinks) and some areas really could use a new coat of paint. BUT the views from the treetop Bure are amazing, and we had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. There’s cultural entertainment every night. And it was lovely to take a kayak out to the point. The Sawa I lau caves are a bumpy 30 minute boat ride away and there’s a trail you can take to the other side of the island that was totally worth it. To see good reefs you’ll need to pay about $18 US to go on a guided snorkel trip. The included continental breakfast was very good, lunch and dinner was ok and the WiFi was terrible. But I would come back here in a heartbeat. It felt like home.

Came here for peace quiet and to get away from the crowds and that is exactly what I got - my stay was delightful, restful and exactly what I needed, the staff here were amazing - they really do go above and beyond for their guests however being such a small place they don’t have a large number of guests which probably explains why at times activities were cancelled. The nighttime activities were highlight. And while this isn’t for everybody, the lack of Wi-Fi or TVs in the rooms was also a highlight. It was great to disconnect. This is a really remote Island in the Yasawas - you can walk around the island, and there are some other very local places to visit for ice cream, doughnuts or curry mud crab made by locals on the other side of the island. We had use of the Blue Lagoon Beach when the official cruise boat was not there, and there was kayaking and a fair amount of fish to see when snorkelling around the island. The food was surprisingly fantastic, considering that there was limited options, everything they did they did well. They also catered to my dietary requirements to the best of their ability and I really loved the staff by the end of my stay. I did expect to not see any children at this resort (as that is what is advertised). However there is a neighbouring venue called the Boathouse (same owners) that allows children and a common dining area shared between the two. However, this wasn’t that bad as there really isn’t that many people even if they’re at capacity.
