On arrival, apartment was clean and functional throughout. We stayed 8 days and room was cleaned twice during our stay, although sheets were changed only once. Toilet/shower room was very small but all clean and in good working order, no problems with hot water at any point.
Staff were friendly, easy-going and helpful, they dealt with any questions/requests and even gave us a bottle of drinking water for no charge to when we ran out.
Location: The village of Kokkini Hani is well-connected to other locations along Crete's northern coast by it's proximity to the large national road, and buses are relatively frequent. Kokkini itself has little to offer in terms of attractions but has a few nice beaches and restaurants. Stella apartments are located conveniently with nice views over the sea from many of the windows/balconies, and just a couple of minutes' walk from the main road and shops/supermarket/bars/restaurants. The nearby beach is not one for sunbathing but suitable ones are between 5-20 minutes walk away.
