Nestled in Plymouth, this delightful country house/chateau is the perfect retreat for guests seeking a superb vacation experience. Walk next door to Paul J Wines and three other local wineries without the hassle of driving. With 6 charming bedrooms, including a master with a king bed and 5 additional queen bedded rooms, this enchanting property offers a cozy and comfortable stay with views of the rolling vineyards. Immerse yourself in the tranquility of the surroundings, while enjoying amenities like an inground swimming pool, BBQ grill and gazebo all nestled among the property's vineyards. There are 4 bathrooms, including a master complete with an oversized soaking bathtub and large walk-in shower. The Pool Room has its own private bathroom, as well as a separate sitting room, mini-refrigerator and additional sink area. Quietly placed in the back of the vineyards is a Jack-and-Jill two bedroom and full bathroom combo perfect for additional privacy from the group or family. The remaining two queen bedded bedrooms are located in the main house, and share a bathroom complete with its own shower. All bathrooms are equipped with the essentials - hair dryers, toiletries, paper goods, and more.

We traveled with 9 people. This property was perfect! It didn't feel crowded, it had lots of room to spread out and the pool area with adjacent outdoor seating and eating area was great. Enough shade to keep cool in the California heat. Everything was clean. Lots of towels and supplies provided. Really appreciated the well stocked kitchen. Also, a great location with lots of wineries within walking distance. Paul J was not only very responsive to our questions but also treated us well in his winery, which had some pretty tasty wines. I highly recommend trying the Tannat, a superb red. Do note that all of the rooms are not in one structure. There are three very comfortable rooms located in the main house. One bedroom is in the pool house which our oldest and his wife loved, and the final bedroom(s) is in the bungalow which is a two minute walk to/from the main house. My daughter and her husband took this room and enjoyed that it was out of the way but still within easy reach of us.Overall, if you want to experience a comfortable and relaxing stay in the heart of Amador County, I would recommend this property.

The house and pool house were great for our large group. We enjoyed the fire pit and outdoor seating and really loved being able to walk to Paul J winery right next door. We will come again!

Everything was wonderful and the location was perfect. Note that if you are wanting all 6 bedrooms--2 of the bedrooms are in the bunglalow, which is cute, but it is a bit of a walk from the main house and although there is a bathroom, the water smells like sulfur due to being on a well and the hot water in the shower lasts for about 3 miniutes--there also is no internet service at the Bunglaow. I'm pretty easy going but others might not be and want to know before renting. Otherwise we loved it!

Overall, our group had a lovely stay on the property. The location is gorgeous and the fact that we could walk to the tasting room next door was a hit with the group. We really enjoyed the pool! We are already talking about staying here again for our next retreat! The only things we were a little confused about were the two bedrooms in the back of the property further down the gravel road, as it was pointed out that the floors were plywood, (that wasn't a big deal), however it is a bummer there is not a shower in that area. Because the weekend we stayed there was over 100 degrees, we wish the A/C had been turned on by the check in time because it took a long time for the house to cool. Other than that, we had a wonderful stay and really enjoyed the two nights we spent at The House!
