Our stay at Alta Vista Villas Casa Paloma was a dream come true! Within 30 minutes of arriving at the house we were visited by a toucan, macaws, and monkeys! We saw capuchin, squirrel, and howler monkeys while at the house along with a variety of other colorful birds and parrots. We saw two sloths almost daily and one even crossed the rope right above our pool! We also saw multiple tree frogs and a porcupine! The house was perfect and just like the pictures, nice bathrooms and comfortable beds! House located within walking distance to many many restaurants and local bus stop right across the street. Wilberth our main conceirge was just awesome!! He was able to point out many animals for us on the property and always seemed to know where the sloths were! Breakfast was an amazing touch for this breathtaking house. Daily housekeeping was so nice!! The view from the house and pool was just out of this world and we can’t wait to return one day!!

This property is amazing! The outdoor area with the pool and view of the ocean is out of this world. We couldn’t believe it when we checked in. We saw so much wildlife - monkeys, macaws, toucans. Great communication from the concierge. Breakfast delivered in the morning was a lovely touch. The bed is super comfy and kitchen really well equipped. Groceries available from a minimart across the road. Walking distance to a lot of nice restaurants. We would definitely recommend this place, it was a pleasure to stay there and an unforgettable experience.

We really enjoyed our stay at Alta Vista. Our villa was well-equipped and spotlessly clean, the beds were comfortable, and there were separate bathrooms (with showers) for each bedroom, which was really convenient. The highlight was the gorgeous sunsets over the Pacific that we watched each evening from our private plunge pool. We grew fond of the brightly colored pair of scarlet macaws living nearby (and frequently flying over us). What could be more "pura vida" than that?

Wake up in paradise! What an amazing place. Even better than the photos. We stayed in Casa Camila, and it was spacious for 4 adults and 2 kids (on the sleeper couch). The private «forever pool» is bigger than expected and heated. What a luxury! You almost don’t need to visit the national park, cause every day the national park visits you. We had squirrel monkeys on the terrace; scarlet macaws, hummingbirds and keel-billed toucans was flying by; one of the employers showed us a mama sloth with her baby hanging in the tree on the property; we saw an agouti, white faced monkeys and heard howler monkeys howling from the trees. It was wild, and truly such a special experience. The kids LOVED it!
Sunsets are 10/10 and the ocean view is uninterrupted, the place feels very private.
Service was impeccable. The concierge ordered us taxis and booked tours for us. The house keeper cleaned every day + you get one round of washing of clothes at the lavanderia for free. Fresh beach towels every day. The breakfast is served at the terrace; you choose from a menu the night before and choose a time. Fresh fruits, gallo pinto (rice and beans), eggs and pancakes. The kitchen has everything we needed - a bag of local coffee included. The beach and national park is only a 10 mins taxi ride away, and the neighborhood has plenty of restaurants and (over prized) small supermarkets.
We didn’t want to leave this place and would love to come back. We recommend everyone to book this gem.
