A lovely 2 days, hopefully we can return next year.

I loved being so close to the canal. There are plenty of walks nearby and it's not too far to walk into town.

The TV picture kept glitching and I could only get a decent picture if stood beside the TV holding the aerial up. However, I eventually managed to position it in such a way to get a better picture. I was in touch with the hosts about this and their response was very prompt.

Definitely not recommended.

The only positive thing to mention: the place was reasonably clean.

A massively overpriced apartment (215€ per night!) in a rundown property that has been renovated only partly, superficially and cheaply, with very poor furniture. The place is 20 mins walk away from centre of small town of Inverness, on a busy road. Windows were old, we had lots of traffic noise. One window was broken, others hardly closed because of bad fittings. Hot water only in shower, other hot water taps were not working. Main door (street-level) lock was faulty and thus the property was very difficult to lock. The place operates a security deposit system through "Swikly" that forces the short-term tenant to allow up to 300 GBP withdrawal from his/her credit card account for purported damages - a practice I only know from car hires. The system asks you to do an on-arrival inventory with photos - I sent a dozen photos to prove existing damages and poor fittings.
