Lovely old cottage, decorated sympathetically to show its character. Shower great, bed very comfortable. Kitchen well equipped. Location great for exploring the local area and beyond.
Good communication from owner.
Some reviews comment on the road noise however, this quietens down overnight and it didn’t keep us awake at all, even with the windows open. We are “townies” however so it may be an issue if you usually live in a very rural location.
The only thing that lets this otherwise lovely cottage down is the outside areas. Some are beyond the owners control ie the little pathway to access the cottage is full of bins / rubbish belonging to other houses. However, the little courtyard wouldn’t take much time or money to smarten up a bit, just weeding the patio and maybe some nice pots around it. Maybe updating the furniture. The front garden also needs a good weed, although we didn’t go in / out that way so not so important. This wouldn’t stop us staying there again however, as inside was lovely

Lovely location and nice walks for my dog
The was sewage running into the river from the Pub and the smell was horrendous . So something really needs to be done about that .

Absolutely brilliant cottage. Extremely clean, cozy and comfortable he had everything we needed, and considering we went during a heat wave, the property stayed relatively cool which was pleasant!
Some people have mentioned the sound of vehicles keeping them up. This really was not the case for us and we had the windows open wide, perhaps the long walks made us too tired to notice!
Very pleasant, would recommend and would go again!

The log burner and comfy sofa in the lounge.
Getting in and out of the cottage was a real pain especially with a dog on the busy road. Traffic noise was as expected though.
The kitchen and bathroom are very tired.
The spiral staircase was tricky and dangerous in socks.
The small courtyard was scruffy with very old and rusty garden furniture.
The front garden was very untidy but as it was dangerous for entering and exiting the cottage, we didn't really use it.
The small lounge was cosy with a really comfy sofa.
Cottage looks.much bigger in the pics than it actually is.
