The property is absolutely amazing! Looks right out at a church and you can walk across the street for an amazing view of the lake. The host, Romana, is so sweet, welcoming, and accommodating. The rooms and space are so beautiful and well designed, one of the most beautiful boutique spots I’ve stayed at with a garden to enjoy and cats roaming about. The breakfast is also an added plus!
Only thing would be there’s only one restaurant up by you and we didn’t think it was the best food. Plan on making a reservation in Varenna, you will have to drive there.

Beautiful property, lovely owner, comfortable stay and very ‘Italian’ which was nice.
It’s 20+ minutes in the car up windy mountains from Varenna station to get there, so a little out the way. However, beautiful views if this doesn’t bother you / you have a car.
Also no window nets, so citronella is a must to avoid getting bitten!

Comfortable, spacious, immaculately clean room
The location is isolated and quiet which was nice after long days out
The church across the road had a beautiful view of the lake far below
Refrigerator in the back was nice to keep food and drinks since there are few/no food and beverage options near the property
Breakfast was excellent
The host Romana is wonderful...helped us out of a jam a few times. She takes pride in her B&B and it shows
The B&B itself was great
The location, however, is very isolated from Varenna and Lake Como
The buses only run every 2 hours so be sure not to miss them. Make sure to get a bus pass up on arrival at the station (some buses accept credit card, some cash, some bus ticket only...driver may not let you on without a pass)
The walk back from the bus stop is very steep & grueling in the summer heat
Free night shuttle after 7pm can take a long time to pick you up (40 min+)
Taxis were unresponsive due to the isolated location. $32E if you can find one (book early if needed)
Virtually no food & beverage options nearby so stock up on your own supplies
