We had a fantastic two-night stay with a large group of 20 adults and 10 kids! The location is amazingly good-gorgeous, lush green surroundings with tall trees and lovely walking trails right next to the River Shannon. The kids had a blast using the sports facilities to play tennis, basketball, and football. The host was exceptionally thoughtful, easy to reach, and made check-in seamless. They generously stocked the kitchen with milk, bread, cereal, and breakfast essentials, and even set up a TV and remote so we could celebrate our friend's birthday properly. Thank you for being such wonderfully accommodating hosts!

Our week at Mount Trenchard was nothing short of extraordinary. I stayed with 25 friends, and it was easily one of the most special and memorable trips we’ve ever taken. The property is breathtakingly spacious, with beautiful, large bedrooms, a large kitchen and dining area, multiple living rooms and bathrooms, and a wonderful garden. The horses grazing in the front pasture, overlooking the river, made the setting feel truly magical. As remarkable as Mount Trenchard is, Frieda made our experience unforgettable. She is an exceptional host and a genuinely wonderful person who went above and beyond to ensure that every detail was perfect, from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. Her warmth, generosity, and care made us feel completely at home. Mount Trenchard and Frieda deserve every bit of praise -- they are both truly special to me and will always be remembered. If you’re considering staying here, look no further. We couldn’t recommend it more highly!

We rented the house for 2 nights for a family birthday. The house exceeded our expectations. It is a beautiful house with great character and history behind it. Freida the owner was so generous to have left baked treats for our stay to enjoy! The gardens around the property are amazing and have lovely walks to them! The tennis court was great. There were rackets and tennis balls in the house for use. Everything about the stay was just 10/10.

It was a little tricky to find the property. The eircode sent us to the second entrance of the house which is closed off.

Mount Trenchard is a very cool property. The home is so interesting with amazing history and character.

The people managing the property couldn't be nicer. The house mechanicals could use some fine tuning as we lacked heat and water for a bit, but that was corrected within a day or so.
