The location was very quiet and serene. The locals we came accross were very friendly and helpful, especially when trying to locate the proprty.
The view from the terrace was lovely especially of the Temple.
The stairs are not for the fainthearted, they are extremely steep and extreme care is required. If you are young and fit, not really a problem, however if you have any mobility issues you may find it difficult to get to the upper floor.
We chose to experience the sleeping conditions, not sure I would do that again, as a very thin mattress on the floor.

Close to the temple.
Traditional Japanese building and valuable interior decor.
We would expect the access codeto be given a day or two ahead without us chasing for it.
The only toilet is at one end of the building off the sitting room.
Fortunate for the 2 of us , we are using the main floor sitting room as bedroom so it is no problem to access the toilet. If more people are staying, privacy at night may be compromised.
