Casa 1880 - Adults Only

Casa 1880 was one of those places that made me leave La Paz already thinking about when I could come back. What stood out most was how genuinely welcoming the entire staff was. Everyone we encountered was kind, down-to-earth, and eager to help, and the level of service made our stay feel remarkably easy from beginning to end. Alejandro, Diana, Daniel, and Ricardo were especially memorable to me, but they were representative of a team that consistently made us feel welcome and well taken care of. The staff handled all of our arrangements with ease, including coordinating our airport pickup and making arrangements when one member of our party arrived a day later. Communication was always prompt and clear, and whenever something needed to be addressed, it was handled quickly and graciously. There were a few small hiccups during our stay, as there can be anywhere, but what impressed me was how immediately and sincerely the staff responded. Nothing ever felt like a problem because they genuinely wanted to make things right. The hotel itself has a lot of character. Casa 1880 is a converted older building with the feel of a boutique hotel rather than a standardized property, and I really enjoyed that. The rooms have their own personalities, with different themes, artwork, and details that give the hotel a sense of history and charm. Our room was also impeccably clean and was cleaned thoroughly every day. I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed the restaurant as well. I ate there almost every day, including lunch and dinner, rather than just taking advantage of the included breakfast. The food was consistently delicious and beautifully presented, which made the restaurant an easy choice throughout the trip. The location was another plus. The hotel is within walking distance of the Malecón, La Paz's waterfront promenade, as well as the cathedral, shops, restaurants, and other attractions. It took us roughly 15 minutes to walk to t

The only thing I would have liked was slightly stronger water pressure in the shower. That said, it was a very minor issue, and there was always plenty of hot water, so it did not detract from my stay.

Such a beautiful pool area, lovely clean room and a good breakfast! It was the perfect place to stay

Nothing to complain!

Staff were very friendly and helpful. The building is beautiful, although the room and bathroom are quite small.

WiFi was very, very slow. At night are sleep was interrupted several times by a very loud doorbell at the building entrance. At night above our room there was constant noise from pigeons on the roof.
