The location offered an excellent view of the forest and sea and sat in a quiet residential area down the hill from Camacha.
The house was generally well equipped with most amenities we needed for our stay and sat in a walled garden plot with electric gates. At the back of the property there was a lovely garden to sit out in and an outside eating area with BBQ facilities.
There was also a quiet levada nearby to walk on.
At the back of the property, there was an unfinished and unsightly building site underway below the ground-level garden wall, which spoilt the general ambiance of the location. The owner had also recently decided to store building materials within the property outside walled boundary, which was unsightly. Fortunately and thankfully, the managing agent was very helpful in arranging for it to be relocated elsewhere or stored better on the site to minimise the inconvenience and impact.
Other than that, the property would benefit from the following:
- A dishwasher;
- softer beds and pillows;
- cotton bed linen;
- curtains in the bedrooms and bathroom rather than just blinds.
