Love this place! First stayed here in 2014 on holiday with grandparents. So nice to go back with family this year. Ideal location right on the front in Appledore. Short drive to our other favourite place Westward Ho! Lovely to find a place which will accommodate our Labrador Ralph! He had an amazing first holiday and enjoyed people watching out of the upstairs living room window 🐶 Garage was full of crabbing gear which came in handy after we broke our net!! Lovely pub (seagate) just up the road which is dog friendly which has hooks for the leads on the tables and highly recommend The Pier House in Westward Ho! for a nice evening meal! I imagine we will be back next year!!
Unfortunately the locals have caught on that the garage is very rarely in use and will move the cones to park outside across the dropped curb which wasn’t the case last time we stayed! Host not at fault but slightly disappointing when you expect to have that little reserved area mostly available and end up having to pay for parking right at the top most days! However, that is part of the package at Appledore wherever you stay so it won’t put us off! Appreciate the homely vibe of the place but some areas could do with a slight touch up (paint around the window of the downstairs bedroom comes to mind mostly!)
