You think your booking a nice tranquil country weekender. The emails come in with exactly that, even the phone number is an Echuca number...... you fill out the forms, asks you what the reason for the trip is, so you say you're coming up for the Echuca Cup. You think someone would be reading this. Then the cracks start appearing. You call the local number to discuss your trip and it directs you to a call center in the Philippines and I found the operator there poor, these guys don't really know how to handle your query (issue we had is that we booked 6 guests but that came up as 2 guests once it went from booking.com to this host. So the 7 minutes on the phone to that guy is time you could have spent better. Then you get a text to explain you didn't roll up as the month on the booking date was wrong.... ouch.... you're not sure if the errors at your end or theirs, so you hope that you can still book it for the required weekend. You can't and then no refund, you ask for a credit in say 'off peak' in the Witner mid week and they say no. Apparently they don't own them and can't offer you anything to appease and really keen to fob you off. So we booked elsewhere and are now off to VCAT to resolve a weekend booking, purely off the rudeness and lack of empathy to even try and appease the predicament. So the interface between the booking sites and this host are poor, once you've booked and paid you have to do a complete questionnaire with extensive terms and conditions to ensure you are liable for everything, the International call center is hopeless. The Echuca staff wont give you a phone number that you can call, just email so they don't need to talk to you...... then get angry with etc....
If you hate customers I suggest you give this business away, you don't want to talk to people hence the Philippines call centre for an Echuca holiday house (OMG).....
