The location of the property and the way all guests could stay in the sitting room comfortably together
Some of the glassware, cutlery and cooking dishes need to be replenished eg there were only 7 forks for a property that sleeps 10

Spacious, beautifully presented house, filled with charm and character. Situated in a pretty village, on the village green. We were a family of 3 generations and the house suited us perfectly. Generous living spaces, high ceilings, airy, comfortable beds, well equipped kitchen with a large table, clean, lovely sun room to relax and the bonus of a small off street parking area at the front. One shower room is downstairs and the other beautiful large bathroom, is on the first floor. Great communication with the host, who provided good instructions and helpful information. Despite the house being in the village centre, you felt tucked away, private and the outside road noise didn't bother us. We met a neighbour who was extremely friendly and helpful. Lovely pub a minutes walk away on the green, with friendly staff, co-op opposite and other lovely cafés and places to eat. Sedgefield is a great base for exploring the North East, just off the A1 and a short drive from the A19. We would recommend, love to return again and thank the host for a truly wonderful few days stay.
A toilet/en suite on the upper floor would have been great. Lots of weeds in the back yard made it feel a bit untidy.
