About this apartment rental
The accommodations are located in Wagersrott, a village on the Schlei, in Schleswig-Holstein, Germany, not far from the Baltic Sea. It’s about a 15-minute drive to Kappeln, the Baltic Sea, or a swimming spot on the Schlei. Flensburg, Schleswig, Eckernförde, or Geltinger Birk are about a 30-minute drive away. It’s just 4 km to the large shopping center or the train station in Süderbrarup.
Spend your vacation in a real construction trailer on our lamb farm near the Baltic Sea and the Schlei!
Our small sheep farm is located in the heart of the Schleswig-Flensburg district, with excellent shopping options in Süderbrarup, just 4 km away (there’s also an outdoor pool there). Places to visit include the “Tolk Schau” in Tolk, the Schlei (canoe rentals) near Kappeln or Lindaunis, and of course the Baltic Sea (SUP rentals, surf lessons...) with opportunities for swimming and hiking. It’s only a half-hour drive to the Danish border, and a day trip to the North Sea is also well worth it. There are plenty of shopping options, for example, in Flensburg, Schleswig, and Eckernförde. Visit the Globushaus in Schleswig or explore the hiking trail network of the Geltinger Birk.
In Wagersrott itself, the “Wagersrotter Feuer” takes place in February and the Enzo Music Festival in the summer. Right from your lodging, you can hike through quiet streets and small woods to reach, for example, the best corner store in the world. It’s only 6 km to the Thingplatz in Gulde. It’s 3.5 km to Süderbrarup for the Brarupmarkt (held the last weekend in July), and you can even watch the fireworks from here.
The guest folder at the lodging contains plenty of additional information about places to visit in the area. Of course, we’re also happy to share our favorite spots in the area.
Welcome! It’s a construction trailer we built ourselves (on a circus chassis). It was furnished with a lot of love and is truly something special. Through the window, you can look directly out onto the pasture. We live with coarse-wooled Pomeranian land sheep to preserve this old domestic breed.
The loft bed has a sleeping area of 1.4 m x 2 m, and the pull-out sofa bed can be extended to 1.5 m x 1.9 m.
The kitchenette includes a sink, a small 2-burner induction cooktop, a refrigerator, a coffee maker, a kettle, a toaster, and a small oven.
The construction trailer is designed for 1–2 adults and up to 2 children.
The centerpiece of the insulated construction trailer is its powerful fireplace. You’ll find firewood, kindling, fire starters, and matches provided. Wi-Fi (fiber optic) and a CD player with radio are available in the circus trailer. The modern guest bathroom is located in the main house.
The large garden, complete with a grill, sunbathing areas, an orchard, patio furniture, a large trampoline, a campfire pit, a fire bowl, and a rotary clothesline, is open for your use. When there’s no wind, a ping-pong table can also be set up. Puggy scooters, Frisbees, unicycles, and more are available for the children. Games such as Viking chess and a Low German card game—among others—are welcome to be used.
Bedding and towels are included. As a winter amenity, the sauna can also be heated by arrangement. The fee for using the sauna is 10 €.
The surcharge for the first day (formerly the final cleaning fee) includes electricity, water, firewood, trash removal, parking, Wi-Fi, hand soap, dish towels, dish soap, toilet paper, and freshly changed bed linens.
Please pack sunscreen, bug spray, and, ideally, a hat. If you enter our pastures to see the sheep or take photos, you’ll need sturdy shoes (preferably rubber boots).
Check-in starts at 4:00 p.m. (there is also a key box for self-check-in case no one is on-site— the code will be sent to you) and
check-out by 10:00 a.m. (later check-out may be possible by arrangement).
You’ll need to climb stairs: The modern bathroom is located on the first floor of the main house, and there is a small staircase leading to the construction trailer.
This accommodations are only suitable for small children to a limited extent, as the construction trailer is heated by a fireplace that gets quite hot.
Our cat “Sternchen” lives in the house and in the garden. Our sheep graze in the pastures.
Smoking is not permitted in the construction trailer. Please keep a safe distance from the buildings when smoking, as we store hay, straw, and wood there.
No parties or events.
Dogs are not allowed.
