Excellent property with great in-house cafe and available amenities. Loved the remote location and activities available on site for the residents.
The food was quite good but could have been better.

The property is located in middle of orchards and hills. The view from the room is beautiful. The hospitality of receptionist and restaurant service is great. Paneer chilly was very tasty. The restrooms are clean and tidy. The receptionist Bhavna helped us with different locations to explore around the property and also gave us cards and uno to play during the night.
The dorm room should have a table or cupboard to keep small stuffs, also a bed light. It was difficult to climb stairs in the dark room.

Too many rules and regulations for eating and sitting around the hostel. No fun vibes as a zostel would have. It looks like a hotel with everyone in their rooms and no lucrative areas for everyone to converge and enjoy. No new year party arrangements and works like a typical hotel, worse than a small homestay. The common area was so cold in night that no one would want to sit and usually such colder areas have angethi or tandoor for keeping everyone warm and cosy and play and interract around. Usually zostels have repeat customers but this one is only a one-time visit property. Restaurant prices are too high for the location and they take advantage of it as there are no nearby alternatives within 20-25 kms range of Zostel. Plus food quantity is also not adequate and tasty.
I wouldn't recommend it unless you want to travel some 500ish kms for an average stay at a costly price. I would recommend visiting Zostel Kareri in Dharmashala as a far better destination.
