The Star Grand Brisbane

Beautiful hotel and rooms

Too large and impersonal I kept getting lost

Absolutely stunning hotel! The room was simply perfection…beautifully designed, comfortable and thoughtfully appointed. The location is fantastic, and the overall design, facilities and pool area are a dream. We absolutely loved the atmosphere and the attention to detail throughout the hotel. It’s a beautiful place to stay and we really enjoyed our time here.

* I found the pool area quite difficult to relax in with so many children sharing the space. I completely understand that families are an important part of the hotel, but it would be great to have a designated family or kids’ area/pool where they can enjoy themselves without impacting guests who are looking to relax, read or unwind. At times, the noise and activity made it quite difficult to enjoy the pool experience. * The pool bar and rooftop bar also seemed to be understaffed, particularly during busy periods. The team was clearly struggling to keep up with the demand for cocktails, and there were quite a few dirty glasses and plates left around the area. Having some additional staff during peak times, along with a stronger sense of urgency and perhaps some additional service training, would make a big difference to the overall experience.

We liked the location. We had river facing room so we had a great view. Troy at breakfast was fantastic and very helpful.

Hard to get a pot of American Coffee at 6 am.
