Great location - great food in the bar

Friendly owner, food was good, accommodation was very clean and certainly value for money

1. The hotel should explain that there is no FRONT access to the hotel, when the hotel pub is closed and that you have to walk round the back of the block. 2. On my arrival the pub was closed and no one was there to explain how I access to the key-lock to get my key and which # room I was in. Luckily someone answered promptly on the number provided by booking.com, but my suggestion is that maybe the hotel could just provide the instructions when the booking confirmation is emailed to the customer. 3. No food for residents when their restaurant/pub is closed! I was expecting to have a dinner on the Sunday night, but didn't realise that there was no exception for residents. Luckily, I found a pizza place open very nearby (and on a public holiday weekend)! phew!

Everything was good. No surprises, nothing fancy just good, clean country pub accommodation. Shared facilities were clean and shower was hot. Friendly locals at the bar.

The bed wasn't as comfy as home but good for the price.
