Pool and surrounding area - tiled gazebo, barbecue and loungers - exceptional. You live there! House spotlessly clean, though not huge, and would be cramped if stuck inside in bad weather (we weren't!). Kitchen well equipped. Petanque pitch great fun. Location is fantastic in that it is amazingly secluded, even though 2 mins from Leclerc supermarket. Turn left at the bottom of the drive and you're straight into the countryside. Laurent is also a great, attentive host - but he doesn't speak a lot of English! - lives in the adjoining house but does not intrude at all.
Barbecue grill could do with a freshen-up, but it's actually a really good hearth.
Not criticism, more a caveat: may look on the map like old town Sarlat (which is a gem) is a realistic walk. It's not! It's a 10-minute drive - would be a 40 minute walk via frankly not attractive roads! Also, it's HILLY! Took my bike and the drive up to the house is >10% gradient! (But cycling around the area is GREAT!)

Les équipements, le calme et la tranquillité du bois. Laurent est un hôte très chaleureux et sympathique toujours à l’écoute et à donner d’excellents conseils. Un accueil vraiment très très agréable, merci à lui. On reviendra c’est sûr

The host Laurent was the perfect host. On meeting us at his beautiful cottage he went out of his way to make us feel so welcome. We had a 9 month old baby with us and Laurent had made sure that there was a travel cot and highchair in place ready for us, which both looked new so thank you for such attention. Once we were settled he then came with new floats for the baby in the pool and brand new utensils that the previous review had said were missing, which was so kind.
The accommodation was just perfect for us and the pool was a great haven for us to relax and have barbecues.
The cottage was really private and had everything that you needed in it and was only a 5 minute drive from Sarlat and only a 5 minute drive from the nearest supermarket.
We would definitely recommend and would stay again if in the area so thank you again for everything.
