Casa meravigliosa con tanti spazi interni ed esterni, e ricca di dettagli che rendono l'atmosfera molto affascinante. Immersa nella campagna (e quindi molto silenziosa) ma facile da raggiungere. Posizione comoda per girare l'interno della regione ma comunque poco distante (1 h circa) dalle mete marittime. I propietari sono gentilissimi e molto simpatici.
Ci sarebbe piaciuto un po' più di spazio per riporre le nostre cose (vestiti, spesa, ecc.). Non abbiamo utilizzato la televisone perchè molto scomoda (piccola e posizionata sotto un tavolino)

This stay felt like the privilege of staying in the house of a trusted friend while they themselves were away. There were just two of us so we had lots of space and we didn't really use all of the house's facilities (such as the TV and audio) but it was a delightful, restful and interesting week. The house has a remarkable collection of books, artefacts and objets d'art to provide talking points. We ate our leisurely meals in the conservatory, looking out over the fields and mountains. Everything worked and we were very comfortable. The location is close enough to town to be convenient for a good supermarket but far enough out to be peaceful and quiet. Even the neighbour's cockerels who turned up at the door each morning for a breakfast supplement didn't disturb the serenity. The hosts had met us on arrival and communications were always good. I also have to mention the neighbour (the hosts' nephew in fact) who was so helpful in helping to repair a flat tyre on our car when the car-hire company had let us down. There are many interesting towns and villages, and quiet rural roads to explore, within 45 minutes of Hasparren, and even more if you extend a little further. It's less than an hour from Biarritz airport. Our choices for day trips were Hasparren itself, Espellete (look at the location of car parks first!), St Jean Pied de Port, Villa Arnaga, Ainhoa, Ortillopitz, Sare, Itxassou, La Bastide Clairance and a trip over the border to Urdazubi. We learned a lot about the region and its history from our trips and staying in a traditional house added to the experience. We would go on to a second week elsewhere to visit the region's coastal attractions but we cannot speak highly enough of the experience we had at Entre Mer et Montagne.
Not a criticism really, but be aware that if you use Google Maps for navigation you could well end up at the next house in the lane.
