What a fantastic stay! It just felt so welcoming and special. Beautiful and comfortable rooms, great breakfast, friendly and attentive staff. It felt like a real event rather than a soulless hotel. I would definitely recommend.
At the end I was told there was a charge in the room for staff tips. It was explained that they could take it off if I didn’t want to pay. I paid it but to be honest I was a little surprised at how it was just automatically applied, I have just not come across that is a uk hotel before. It didn’t in any way spoil the stay at all and I happily paid it because the staff had been great, I just found it strange.
