We wanted a quiet place to stay that will let us enjoy the freshness of Jeju’s natural habitat. Yet close enough to the Folk Villages on this side of the island. The location fits what we sought perfectly. We did not choose to drive, the bus service was good enough and we had enjoyable rides with the local folks. The property was very well kept and our room was more than comfortable. Our beds came with heating pads. Despite it being cold season, the our air-conditioning unit was able to keep the room cool. Coming from a tropical country, we are not used to sleeping while exposed to nighttime coldness. Hence the combination of heating pads with light cool from the air-conditioning made our sleep very comfortable. The property also has a calm surrounding with natural vegetation. Walking paths are well kept and easy to use when hanging around its outdoor interests points such as the chapel, pond, field, etc. We even received personal attention from the house dog who guided us around the outdoor areas. Will want to come back again in a different season to soak in its surrounding beauty.
Being the only tenants at the time of our stay, we felt like we owned the entire building, haha.
We didn’t manage to meet anyone at reception upon checking in. Room access card was left in its reception desk and addressed to me, so I was able to self service. We only got to meet a staff on the second night when we returned to it after dinner, who handed us two bottles of drinking water. Although there is a cafe and restaurant on the property, neither was in service throughout our stay. Most probably due to the fact we were the only tenants there at that time. We did feel at that point somewhat concerned with not having easy access to F&B in case of hunger pangs. But looking back now, that made us ventured out to the nearby Pyoseong town which turned out to be rather accessible even by public bus.
