The passcode for the cabin was very easy to remember as it was the last 4 digits of the booking cell phone number. This worked out very well since everyone already knew that number!!! I wish every place would go to this method!
As for the cabin itself, we could not have been more pleased! The pictures online do not do it justice! The bedrooms, the kitchen, the game room, living room were very well appointed and comfortable. The overall views and sunrises and sunsets out of the massive glass windows were incredible from the upstairs master bedroom and from the rocking chairs and swing on the wrap around porch.
All of the rooms were of a generous size with vaulted ceilings. They were all nicely decorated with comfortable chairs, couches and stools. The upstairs bedroom suite was very unique with the opening to the living space below as well as the 'open' bedroom/bathroom arrangement. I liked it just the way it was but the Mrs. appreciated the folding partition screen that was provided.
The gift basket, game room and double bunk beds were a BIG hit with the 3 grand kids!! As was the outdoor fire pit! Plenty of good, dry firewood. Maybe include an axe to cut some kindling.
While neither of these can really be changed, the parking situation at the cabin and the main road from the interstate to the gate and to a greater extent the road from the gate to the cabin were, as my wife said, harrowing to say the least!
The upper parking space is basically useless if you have a vehicle of any size. Additionally, there is really no good way to turn around once you are in that spot. We used it for the initial unloading only.
As for the lower parking, once you take the gigantic leap of faith to dive off into the driveway itself, there is no way to access the cabin except by climbing back up the hill to unlock the upper door. A keypad on the basement door would be much more convenient.
The wind kept blowing the cover off of the hot tub due to the broken tiedown buckles. While not a big deal, it did take time to repeatedly put it back in place and clean out the debris. Unfortunately, with the cover off, the tub had lost most of its heat at the time we wanted to actually use it...
