Loved the remote quiet location, didn’t mind the driving tours required. The kids could play football in the garden, we could have a glass of wine looking or to the ocean. The kids loved watching tv on the big screen and the kitchen is brilliantly equipped. Ricardo was very helpful and quick to respond to any questions i had. The calf next door was cute too.

Ricardo is een geweldige behulpzame host (al zagen we hem niet, hij was altijd bereikbaar). De locatie van het grote huis is geweldig: gelegen boven de zee, in het groen, aan de rand van een klein dorp, met een schitterende (voor)tuin, een groot terras en een reeks van voorzieningen in de woning die we nergens anders hebben gehad. Het feit dat de eigenaar zelf vaak gebruik maakt van het huis, is zeker een pluspunt. De afgelegen ligging is voor ons een voordeel, maar je hebt wel een huurauto nodig. De Quintinha of gerenoveerde fermette-boerderij heeft zijn ramen niet naar de zee gericht, wat logisch is gezien de stormwinden. Het kan er echt hard waaien. Wij waren hier heel graag, al is het huis te groot voor 2 personen. We genoten van alle comfort, van de efficiënte hulp bij onze zeer late aankomst ontvangst en de fijne, objectieve tips voor bezoeken, views, eetgelegenheden, zelfs in Funchal, en het objectieve advies voor een RIB dolfijn-en walvis tocht in Calheta.
Helemaal niets wat we niet hadden verwacht. We komen graag terug, met de familie volgende keer!
