Great place and location. Very cool in the summer heat!

My husband, cat, and I live in New York and had to leave our apartment for construction and had to stay in several different places as the work continued to get extended. This was our favorite. So many places are serviceable but soul-less, this was the only one that felt like it could be a home away from home. It has real charm and comfort, and very close to the subway. If you’re looking for “hotel-perfect” it may not be for you, but if you’re looking for a place to be comfortable, book it! The host was also very helpful when we needed to extend our stay by a day. There are a few minor things that could be improved, but they’re simple: there were two sets of keys, but only one seemed to be for our unit (though we could always use the door codes), and it would be great to have a hamper for worn clothes. Honestly, I wish we could have extended our stay, but it was booked for the week after. (The place we moved into further highlighted how great this place is)

Loved this stay! The unit was changed to a new unit and address given before hand. Check in was smooth and the host was super friendly and quick to answer when I had a question. The location was great for taking the train and getting around. & The unit was clean and felt safe! Would def recommend

Good: Very conveniently located. It was easy to check in and out. The host was flexible and allowed us to do a later check out. The beds were comfortable and there is central AC. Bad: The apartment is absolutely not the same as the one in the photographs on the listing. Getting the accurate address was surprisingly difficult, as none of the locations shown (including the one on the confirmation email) are actually the location of this apartment, which I had to message the host directly to confirm which seemed a little suspicious when booking. A lot of basic items that you might expect are not in the apartment; we were each given 1 towel for the entire 5 day stay and there are washcloths in the kitchen but no hand towels. The shower has no shampoo, etc. provided so expect to bring a lot of things with you.Ugly: The couch and pillows are covered in stains. Everything in the apartment seems just a little bit broken. When we first checked in the toilet was not flushing because the tank was not re-filling. When I messaged the host to let them know they said "it was working earlier today" and did not offer any other solution. Luckily, my husband was able to mess around with it and get it to work again. The filter in the AC (which is absolutely coated with dust which would occasionally fall off in huge clumps onto the bed) rattled the whole night so it was not possible to sleep with it on. We had both an exterminator and building management stop by unexpectedly.
