Passionate staff especially the receptionist whose name i forgot.

For a village resort, The Lotus Chettinad Palace genuinely exceeded our expectations. The rooms were easily in the 5-star range — spacious and very comfortable, with a good bathroom, Wi-Fi, air-conditioning plus a ceiling fan, coffee and tea facilities, and incredibly comfortable beds. We had such a peaceful night’s sleep.
The in-house restaurant was another highlight. The authentic Chettinad cuisine was absolutely delicious, and the service was impressively fast. We ended up having all three meals here and thoroughly enjoyed every one of them!
The property itself is beautiful, especially the central hall with its lovely kolam and traditional heritage design. It really captures the charm and character of a Chettinad home while still providing modern comforts.
There isn’t a great deal to do immediately around the resort, so you’ll need to travel a little towards Karaikudi and the surrounding areas for temples and sightseeing. But if you’re looking for a peaceful, comfortable and authentic Chettinad stay, this is an excellent choice.

The property has maintained its traditional structure and incorporated modern amenities tastefully. Welcome desk was friendly and helpful
Restaurant service was not very organized and slow. The restaurant closes at 9 PM which is early for certain travellers who reach the place kate as there are no other eateries nearby open at that hour. They could have a limited menu open for the night
