The location was great; we were able to go everywhere in town in just minutes. We especially loved waking up to beautiful Elk in the front yard. The property had a fenced backyard, and our dog was very happy there. The bed was comfortable. We especially loved the heating and cooling system. We were comfortable every single day there. The kitchen was well stocked, the shower was great and we loved the sofas, perfect for lounging around. The two lakes Grindstone and Trails and Alto Lake were less than 30 minutes. Two great golf courses are within minutes Mescalero Inn of the Gods (on reservation) was really nice to play. Also, the Links in town was good, except play was cut short due to lightening. The Rio Grande Grill and Bar food is wonderful. Breakfast at the Log Cabin is down home cooking. We spend a lot of our time just driving around in Alto Lakes area. If you have a pet Alto up the road from Ruidoso has The Thundering Paws daycare and boarding. They are truly wonderful. If you are a quilter visit A Quilting Stitchuation in Alto Lakes. One last thing. The host was so great to work with very responsive and helpful.
We cooked most of our trip. We would have appreciated a light over the stove for that. That little was a little dark to cook in, but we managed and enjoyed it anyway.

The location was perfect! Very near Ruidoso Down town main street. a Starbucks and some good restaruants at only 4 minutes. Winter park at 15 minutes!
Perfect size for a small family with a dog. I just love that they have a fenced patio so my dog could come out side
I love that the kitchen have coffee, cream, salt, oil.. and the shower had shampoo, conditioner and shower gel (I was not expecting that!).
Love the modern look!
It is a little small, if you are looking a spacious cabin.
A King size bed could not fit at the bedroom, and you have only the space to walk arround the queen size bed it is.
Only one of the bedrooms had a big closet, the other one does not have closet.
The restroom it is a little bit small. There was no space to put my personal thinks like, tooth paste and brush, comb, antiperspirant, etc. I could recommend to put a small car or cabinet underneath
