The room was roomy, with a window seat and a huge window overlooking the river- spectacular. VERY comfortable beds. Cappuccino machine in the room. Complimentary bottled water each day. Fabulous Michelin 1 Star restaurant. Excellent staff who were always eager to help. Amazing breakfast buffet. Unforgettable conference room in the cellar.
The resort is located in Gaia, which is across the river from Porto, so it's not in the main part of the old city. However, there is a great walk-over bridge near the hotel (30 minutes total), and Ubers are very reasonable ($6-10) to get across the river. Also, it's only about a 10-15 minute walk from the hotel to the river. Along the river, we found loads of wine bars, restaurants, cafes, and shops, as well as river boat excursions.

Great location, very close to the river and a lovely pool. Breakfast great variety and loved the port!
Air conditioning did not work and shower constantly leaked after each use.
Didn’t like prepayment on arrival and deposit taken per day. This was not explained on check in.
Nothing was resolved whilst we there after repeatedly telling them.
