Amazing stay - couldn’t recommend more. The staff are incredibly attentive and helpful, the hotel is set in a beautiful location and the entire experience is flawless. The food is excellent as well, although it’s worth noting that both the dinner and breakfast are very generous meals - best not to eat too much beforehand! This was our first time at a ryokan. The staff and facilities ensure a tranquil and relaxing visit. When one first checks in the guest is treating like royalty with beautiful robe (I cannot remember the correct robe), tea, and an explanation of the facilities. The room was an apartment. Lovely views, The onsen in the room and the view of mountains was luxurious and calming. The chef is a master. Although I do not eat most of the dishes, the chef prepares dishes so that I could eat. The steamed seabream was one of the most delicious meals I have ever had. There is a tea service available which is also quite nice. A short distance from the Onsen are trails through the mountains and around a lake.
