Absolutely unacceptable!

We are a family with two children, and this trip was meant to be something truly special for all of us. For the first time, our son’s girlfriend and our daughter’s boyfriend were joining — it was supposed to be a unique and unforgettable New Year’s experience in London.
We booked an affordable apartment months in advance, carefully planning everything because our budget was limited. This trip meant a lot to us. We had organized every detail: a cozy pub for New Year’s Eve and a beautiful spot to watch the fireworks together. We were genuinely excited.
Then, just FIVE DAYS before our arrival — on December 24 — everything fell apart.
The landlord suddenly told us the apartment was no longer available due to “repairs.” Just like that. No real solution, no support — only a promise that we would get our money back.
We were shocked and honestly desperate.
Flights were booked. Prices in London were sky-high. Finding anything at such short notice felt impossible. After hours of stress and panic, we finally found another apartment nearby — but it cost 50% MORE. We had no choice. We paid it, just to avoid completely ruining this once-in-a-lifetime trip.
And then came the worst part.
The company Finding Dwelling promised to refund us £700. They promised it at the end of December. Then again in January. Then February. Then March.
Every time: another promise. Every time: nothing happened.
It has now been nearly three months of waiting, chasing, hoping — and being ignored. This is not just disappointing — it is exhausting, frustrating, and deeply upsetting. We feel completely let down and honestly powerless.
Please, if you are considering booking with Finding Dwelling: DON’T.
They make promises they do not keep. They leave you alone when things go wrong. And they show absolutely no sense of responsibility.
This experience has left a very bitter feeling after what should have been a joyful family memory.

Disappointing
The views of the city
Very poor aesthetically, outdated and people urinte daily in the lifts. Wasted space in there as the lounge is used as a bedroom and no sofa at all. Although I will say the bedding was fresh. And Wasing up liquid/hand soap and cleaning products were a plus. The bathroom and kitchen especially are in need of a refurb. Bathtub questionable... Absolutely wouldn't bathe in that. Location is a little awkward to get into the city but good views of the lights of the city on the evening. Should have been a lot cheaper!! Sad our other accomodation (for very little difference in price) canceled due to plumbing issues.
