We had an amazing stay at The Purple Courtyard. The room was very comfortable and communication with the hosts was exceptional. Absolutely no issues whatsoever and we would definitely stay here again. The location next to the catherdral provided easy access to the city—it is situated right in the the middle of town. The breakfast was also great: fresh croissants, coffee, fruits, granola, yogurt and juice. Make sure to pick up a bottle of the hosts wine as well—the Rully in particular was delicious!! Very friendly welcoming. Breakfast was also super nice in a private setting. A lot of food was provided. Bathroom and bed where very comfortable.

Camilla is absolutely delightful. The room was very comfortable ……. Good size and perfectly clean. Breakfast in the open courtyard was very good. The location is perfect for exploring the city.
Hmmm …….. After all of the good points, this isn’t easy to to say, but when you walk into a hotel, you really shouldn’t be walking into a building site. The ground floor has yet to be renovated and is full of combustible building materials, with no protection to the escape staircase.
Also, I can’t understand why the new doors to the guest rooms have not been provided with locks capable of securing the doors from the outside. This could be an issue for some guests if they are travelling with valuables.
Once these issues are resolved it will be a lovely hotel, but until that time, despite the good points about the hotel, I cannot recommend it … sorry.
