The location here is excellent, and the staff are very friendly; I really don't understand why some people leave negative reviews. For the price, this is the best hostel I've stayed at in Southeast Asia. If you have higher standards for accommodation, you might want to choose a hotel, but if you're on a limited budget, I highly recommend this place.

On the river, great owner, he was a life saver and called cabs for me and helped me get back from a failed night to see laos fighting. Super helpful and a great person
The front desk has limited hours but if you can work around that you should be good

The beds were very private
It was fine for one night, but it made me uncomfortable that there were no sort of keys/locks to get into the dorms so any random person could have walked in and anything could have been taken.
I was going to have the breakfast, but it looked incredibly unappetising. I don’t know anyone who wants bread with no spreads on it, so I ended up going elsewhere. Also when I went for the breakfast the guy making it was shirtless which did not leave a good impression.
