The location was even better than shown on photos. The cottage is well built and the large fireplace is a bonus in cold weather.

Very well appointed cottage with everything one needs. Comfortable bed. Great shower. Awesome braai area with incredible views. The sound of the river and waterfall - absolutely amazing!!!!! Loved the fact that we were completely away from the hustle & bustle of city life. Loved the warm welcome we received from the owner, Mareli. Loved our 7km hike where we encountered baboons and some bokkies. A real gem - can’t wait to come back.

There were quite a lot of flies (I’m assuming from the nearby cows….?) and they were annoying. The wood provided (for both the outside braai and inside fireplace) was wet and therefore not very favourable to work with. Produced a lot of smoke and took very long to ignite properly.
