Well-located, comfortable hotel with friendly staff and great breakfast. They are dog-friendly too. We stayed with our two small dogs in the room with us and they provided pet beds for them (there is an additional pet fee, which is fair enough).
The bath robes are lovely, but get rid of the disposable slippers. These just go to landfill in their thousands. I wouldn't think the hotel was any less luxurious if they did not provide slippers. Or perhaps you could give them to guests on request instead of just putting them in the room? That would likely cut down the number of them used.

The rooms are a good size and have everything you need for a short stay. The bed is comfortable. The tv isn’t great, I couldn’t get the chrome cast to work but i didn’t pursue it as I was only there one night. There is real coffee and tea in the room, which is great.
All the staff are extremely friendly and professional, particularly the staff in the restaurant. The buffet breakfast with the choice of one main course from the à la carte menu is brilliant. And as much barista made coffee as you want.
The gym is also pretty good

Rooms were clean and very nicely appointed. Perfect for a solo traveller but may be tight for a couple.
A bit further away from the bustle of the main strip, but still walkable to all the main sights in Auckland.
I missed out on trying the restaurant but would want to try in future! Make sure you book early as they get busy.
