Very friendly and welcoming hosts. The property is spacious, well maintained, and surrounded by beautiful gardens and trees.
The accommodation was comfortable for two people, with a comfortable bed and good-quality towels.
Breakfast was simple but good and served in the room.
The night walk on the property to see kiwis and glowworms was a fun experience, especially with children.
We also enjoyed the company of Bertie, the friendly dog. The hosts made it clear that she would stay with them if guests preferred.
The location was convenient for us because we had a car. Without one, it may be a little difficult to get into town.
When I made the booking, I didn't notice that the room I chose had a shared bathroom with another room. It wasn't a major issue for us, as we were the only guests staying there during our visit.

Pete was very friendly and a great host and his two dogs were gorgeous. The location is so tranquil and beautiful. Some great tracks to explore during the day and go looking for Kiwi at night (weather allowing!). Such a cosy room and very comfortable bed. Our room and the bathroom were spotless. It was really close to Kerikeri which made it such a handy place to stay.
