The Studio is a good size for London accommodation, it’s in a great area, very quiet with great transport links and also has shops, pubs and restaurants nearby and is literally a few minutes’ walk from Hyde Park.
I must be honest, the studio is starting to look a little bit tired, in my opinion it would benefit from a refresh, for example, the curtain pole looks as though it could come down at any time and the curtains themselves are not hung so they wouldn’t close properly. The window, I appreciate it’s large, does need two people and a bit of force to close it and the bathroom door leading from the living area doesn’t shut and there are lights in the bedroom area that don’t have bulbs.
In addition, there were a couple of things that we felt were worthy of drawing further attention to. In the kitchenette area the oven is plugged into a specific socket that doesn’t work, the solution is to plug in elsewhere via an extension lead. On day 2 of our stay, we lost all WIFI, which is also required to run the Television, once we managed to contact the owner it would appear that our Studio’s WIFI router is located in the Studio apartment next door and the guests staying there can unplug the router to plug in their own appliances! Obviously, this shouldn’t happen, but it does. The owner’s contact number supplied to Booking.com is actually a number for a relative who is in Egypt, that explains why we had difficulty in getting any response.
Worth also noting that we did bump into the owner a couple of times, and she is a very friendly and personable lady.
