Cromore Retreat

Tranquil, idyllic, super helpful staff, quick responses to queries. We had pre-arranged to arrive early to drop our luggage off as we had a restaurant booking. Seeing that we were struggling to book a taxi into Portstewart town centre, the lovely hostess (Bridie) who was busy preparing our pod, offered to drive us into the town so we could make the reservation on time - a lovely gesture and really set the tone for our stay! Would wholeheartedly recommend!

Nothing everything perfect

Loved lying in bed but still feeling connected with the outside world. The domes were decorated in a minimalist way but every detail was thought out with luxury in mind. The electric blankets, throws and heating pads were a nice touch to keep us cosy.

We found the climate control/air con unit a bit tricky. When we arrived it was blowing out cold air and it took us a while (and a few attempts of turning it off and on again) to get it to warm up. At some point during the night it also came back on of its own accord and was blowing cold air again. Some more detailed instructions on how best to use it might help, or maybe ours was having an issue. Also a note to tell us how to switch on the outside lights would have been helpful (but we did find the switch eventually!). All very minor points and not enough to spoil our night away.

It was surrounded with beautiful trees and brids flying over us. Inside the dome was very nice and clean tho the sleeping area was alot colder than the rest of the dome but there is a heated mattresses topper so that kinda helped get more warm. The only thing I wish was better was our outdoor garden area where we can sit outside was full of weeds and nettles and long overgrown grass everywhere it didnt look nice at all even when we was inside the dome looking out at it it just didnt look good and for the price that was spent for the night I would have loved to have seen it kept better with some real plants and flowers and cut grass, it would have made a massive difference. And our Privacy fence wasn't to private as we could see right threw it when we was in bed and so we went outside to check if we could see in, and we could see into or domb into the bedroom area and bed so wasn't fully covered but we did notice the other fenceing to the other domes looked better than ours. The domes are all kinda together and you can hear other people in theirs shouting or talking loudly. But it was a nice enough stay and breakfast was good and with it only being 5 minutes drive to Portstewart town was great. Some little things could do with a little fixing but it was still a nice experience. But I don't think I'd return unfortunately.

The over grown grass and weeds with nettles in the outdoor sitting eara. The fence not being 100% private. The bedroom being colder and being to close to other domes and hearing other guest's.
