The house was colourful and full of character, a true multi-level Mexican family home tucked high among the twisting streets of Guanajuato. Cars can only get within a few hundred metres of the house, so it’s worth keeping that in mind if you’re travelling with a lot of luggage.
The view from the rooftop garden was breathtaking. My son kept different hours from us and loved spending his evenings up there, looking out over the city lights. The owner also provided a very helpful video showing us how to find the house through the maze of streets.
The stairs between floors were a challenge for me personally, although I don’t think they would present much difficulty for younger or more mobile guests.
The Wi-Fi ran out after about 24 hours and was not recharged by the owner during our stay.
