It is rare in this world to find a hotel where everything aligns beautifully but the Palacete do Guerreiro is indeed that rare beast.
First of all the location is sublime with views to die for and an immediate feeling of peace and tranquility.
Then there is probably the best and biggest breakfast I've ever had included in a room rate....just fantastic! And by the way, the evening meal is very good value for money especially when you know that everything is local and organic wherever possible.
Add to that the passion, drive and personality of Javier (and his team) and you have a real winner and a hotel you really need to experience for yourself.
We are already thinking of excuses to take us back to the area to chat with the lovely Javier once again 😍

Fantastisch gelegen en prachtig ingerichte accommodatie. Heerlijk ontbijt en diner. Ideale plek om de Serra da Estrela te verkennen en Coimbra te bezoeken, om vervolgens te genieten van het mooie zwembad en door de gastheer voorbereid diner.

Fantastische locatie met maar 8 kamers, dus heel rustig. Licht schitterend in de bergen, heerlijk zwembad en een voortreffelijk ontbijtbuffet. De eigenaar Xavier is enorm vriendelijk en doet er alles aan om iedereen een onvergetelijke ervaring te bieden.
Er is ook nog een spa waar je dagelijks op reservering gebruik van kunt maken. Dus even met zijn tweetjes genieten van de sauna, het turks stoombad en de grote yacuzzi, heerlijk!
Echt alles was goed, nog nooit zo’n superplek meegemaakt!

Endroit magnifique avec un accueil impeccable. Soins du propriétaire pour que tout se passe bien. Repas parfait et délicieux soir comme matin. Piscine propre et lieu féérique.
Manque d'information sur les ballades locales possible (flyer d'info et indication des ballades). Heureusement le propriétaire nous a indiqué des ballades par whatsApp. Donner les menu et horaire de repas à l'avance est une contrainte mais compréhensible pour éviter le gaspillage et faciliter l’organisation.
